Manuel Narciso Soares Santos started his activity in industrial electric systems together with two co-workers.
1991
MNAC – Electricidade Industrial, Lda is founded in partnership with his wife, Arminda de Jesus Correia. Dislocation to a new plant covering an area of 50 m2.
New activity in wire harnesses for buses. All projects were customers responsibility.
1993
Beginning of production of wire harnesses for tractors.
New plant covering an area of 400m2, including the administrative department.
Purchasing of hardware and production equipment.
Implementation of several quality assurance procedures whose outcome was the attainment of level 6 - “Qualified Supplier” – at the audit carried out by our customer Salvador Caetano S.A.
1994
Accomplishment of new customers in the field of wire harnesses for cars and caravans alarm sets.
1997
Participation in the PME Program promoted by Associação Industrial Portuense – AIP, aiming the training of employees in the field of Automotive Electricity.
1998
Acquisition of a new plant covering an area of 1,100m2.
Creation of the IT Department.
Software updating and acquisition of new hardware for supporting the Production Department.
Creation of the Technical Department and beginning of conception of wire harnesses. Projects are now planned by MNAC.
1999
·Continuous growth of the company supported by the organization and control of the production system.
·Training of leading teams through participation in Programa Nacional de Formação de Chefias Intermédias para a Indústria – PRONACI promoted by AIP, EDIP, Economic Ministry and European Social Fund, at Salvador Caetano IMVT.
·Research and development of electronic technologies for buses, in particular destination displays, printed circuit electric boards, interior lightening and signalling by LED and multiplex systems.
2000
Founding of RedCable Company to operate in the field of industrial electricity and structured nets, that was so far another branch of MNAC.
Creation of the Quality Department.

Production of the first multiplex system for the Mercedes Winner bus, which became part of the buses fleet used for conveying the football teams throughout the EURO 2004 football championship that took place in in the following year.
Production of spare parts for buses.
Production of infrastructures for buses (conduits / luggage compartments and toilet cabins).

Participation in POEFDS in cooperation with IPFEL aiming the training in English language and Automotive Electricity.
Production of multiplex systems for all Mercedes Winner buses of the EURO 2004 fleet.
Partnership with Spanish and Hong Kong Companies.
First contacts with the Israeli market for the commercialization of wire harnesses.
Sales representative of the Brazilian company SARAIVA RETROVISORES for the Portuguese market.
Installation of bus wire harnesses at the facilities of the customer, namely CaetanoBus and Marcopolo.
Certification of the Quality Assurance Management System according to ISO 9001:2000 granted by APCER, certificate no. 2004ICEP.2407, in the scope of conception, installation, maintenance and commercialization of wire harnesses for motor vehicles; assembling, maintenance of infrastructures (toilet cabins, conduits) and commercialization of spare parts for motor vehicles.

Sales representative of the Dutch company Ventura Systems for the Portuguese market, aiming commercialization of doors for buses.
Partnership with the Portuguese Association of PME for the carryout of training programmes.
Registration of trade mark MNAC
Work carried out at the facilities of the Spanish customer UNVI.
Implementation of the Multiplex system in two hundred CCFL city buses
Agreement with a Spanish partner for the commercialization of MNAC products in .
